I'm Jared Cooper — a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and the founder of Cooper Mental Health & Wellness. After spending years working in different psychiatric settings across multiple states, I knew there had to be a better way.

Appointment after appointment, medication after medication — and the same people kept coming back struggling. Too many patients were being handed a diagnosis and a prescription, then sent on their way. What I kept noticing was how much was being left on the table. The lifestyle factors that research clearly links to mental health were almost never part of the conversation.

That's what led me to build Cooper Mental Health & Wellness. A practice where the conversation doesn't stop at the prescription — but where we actually dig into the things that drive mental health outcomes and build a plan around all of it. That's the practice I wanted to build, and it's the care every patient deserves.

This approach isn't something I stumbled into. I've always been passionate about fitness, nutrition, and understanding how the body and mind work together — and that curiosity is what drives the way I practice. I started this practice for patients who want more. If that's you, let's get started.
